Connecting and coordinating programs and organizations with people and resources, and with
accomplished leadership experience in advancement/development, project/program management and
strategic planning, David Rogers has worked with non-profits, schools, ministries, civic/community endeavors,
political campaigns, and high-profile initiatives.
He has facilitated board/staff planning retreats; conducted feasibility studies; coordinated resource
development programs; planned and managed annual, endowment and capital campaigns; secured major gifts
from individuals, sponsorships from businesses, and program grants from foundation; lobbied government
officials; built community coalitions; and managed political campaigns.
He has served in government affairs roles and produced conferences, corporate and government
seminars, special events, national and international meetings, and campaigns for a variety of organizations,
including: the National Governors' Association, the National Federation of Independent Business, the National
Education Foundation, the Southeast U. S. / Japan Association, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, the
Baptist World Alliance, the Business Roundtable, the Joint Committee on Religious Liberty, ten different state
governments and for businesses, political candidates, elected officials and faith-based initiatives.
Rogers was an assistant to the Governor of Tennessee and the Commissioner of Economic, Community
and Tourism Development and served as an assistant to the late U. S. Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee.
In other leadership roles, Rogers was Vice President of the International Baptist Theological Seminary in
Switzerland; Vice President of Cumberland Science Center in Nashville; and, Executive Director of CrossLink
International (a humanitarian aid organization headquartered in the VA/DC/MD area. He has consulted with
non-profit, civic and political organizations in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC; served as Major Gifts
Director of Northern Virginia Family Services; directed the Coalition on Charter Government for Frederick
County, MD; produced special programs for the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce; served as
Development Director of the YMCA; President and Executive Director of the Religious Coalition of Frederick
County, President of East Frederick Rising (a community enterprise initiative), and a member of Rotary
International.
